It’s been a little while, so I will bring you up to speed. Just after my last entry, the ship I was on, completed a trans-atlantic cruise. I was very sad to leave europe, especially after what could only be described as a magical last night in Venice. It was an emotional time for me, however, I had some amazing friends along for the ride to Galveston, Texas, and looking forward to experiencing the Caribbean (which I had never been to) made it a little easier. Here is a picture of the ship, from the last Italian port.
While in the Caribbean I was able to experience quite a few new places, and my first hangover. Out of all the places I went none were very picturesque, except maybe paradise island, but now that I’m not going back anytime soon I wish I had taken a few more pictures.
My experiences included a tour in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The tour was one that included a trip through a market in the center of town, which we will just say “was a bit scary”! Once I pushed past the fear of being guided around by a guy that by american standards, looked homeless, I realized the tour was an amazing way to see how the locals live.
My time in the Caribbean was cut short, after being in the Caribbean for about three weeks, my wrists gave in on me and I was diagnosed with tendonitis, and then medically debarked from the ship. Leaving me with no idea what the next adventure will be, but I sure am looking forward to finding out! I have thoroughly enjoyed the experiences that I have been blessed to have and all the new friends I have found along the way. I am sure that many of my new friends will help inspire and be part of many of my future adventures.
For now, I will leave you with a picture from the beach just down from the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.
