I really had no idea what was going on up there, what to expect, other than some cold weather. What I found was a stunning landscape, the likes of which I could only compare to New Zealand. The weather, surprising enough, not as cold as most would probably think, keeping in mind it was only the second week of November. In all my travels, I must say this is the easiest, non-native, english speaking country to visit (if that’s a concern for you). Working their way to the darkest part of their year, made it way too easy to take pictures in Iceland…

Been a minute since I posted, just been putting it off. So much going on, so much to share, or not, we’ll see…. For now, last night produced quite a few pictures I had to share. If you want to know more about where this was, just search: Banksy’s Dismaland.

American Southwest

The past few months was a homecoming of sorts, it represented completion of the full circle of my travels of the past year. During this time I visited Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and California, while catching up with some of most treasured people in my life thus far, and introduced them to my future. 😉  Having collected what few possessions I maintain, it’s now back to an amazing, blessed life in a narrowboat, on the canals of merry old England…

More NYC

Blessed as my life is with adventures, I recently spent a long weekend in New York City. My previous two visits to this one-of-a-kind destination had not included an overnight stay. I arrived via Newark, New Jersey, and immediately took the train and subway to my hotel in Brooklyn. This being a unique experience in and of itself, trains? In the United States? This is something that sadly, very few parts of the country have available as a functional part of society. The New York subway is unlike any other underground transit, such diversity, I don’t think I have ever experienced in one space, it was magnificent! Being situated in Brooklyn, gave me a much broader vision of the city (prior visits were only to Manhattan). This city is, while a part of the U.S., is nothing like the rest. If I was forced to make a comparison, I would say most like London, in its massiveness of people, experiences and opportunities. Whatever your heart desires, can be expressed and explored here.
Here is a few pictures from my perspective…

I recently took a few days to hop up to Scotland, for a “cities” tour. What a difference a couple hundred miles can make, the sound of bagpipes, the chill in the air, and the warm people with one of the most challenging english accents, outside of Liverpool, in my humble opinion. To me, it’s a magical place. Enjoy…
